Facilitating NVC Groups with Joy and Confidence:

A Year-long Train the Trainer Program

with Mary Mackenzie

Sharing NVC with others is one of the most powerful methods for deepening your NVC consciousness, yet has its own set of challenges and calls on different skills.  This year-long program is specifically designed to help you develop your skills in teaching NVC, to clarify and accentuate your individual style, and to love the process.  Your own ability to live in NVC consciousness will deepen as a result!

Participate in this program and you will learn concrete, practical skills to:

  • Create the “energy” of your space – to set the tone for your group
  • Clarify your role as facilitator – to instill clarity and trust in your participants and you
  • Create safety and ease – to help participants accentuate their learning and ease
  • Create workshop outlines with ease and fun – the process is easily adaptable to any workshop from 1-hour to multiple day formats
  • Develop teaching activities – to infuse creativity and aliveness in your workshops
  • Balance everyone’s needs - group, individual, and yours, with grace and precision
  • Charge for your work – to create balance, clarity, ease and sustainability
  • Promote your work and maximize your ability to earn a living

Mary brings ten years of experience fine tuning the art of facilitation and a basic joy of the process, along with an innate clarity for helping facilitators extend their skills to new depths.  Her style includes simultaneous examination of group facilitation processes through a holistic and detailed lens, which allows you to understand the nuances of facilitation that are rarely spoken of, and readies you to navigate group dynamics with joy and confidence.

What people are saying about this course:

“Not only did Mary offer practical and unique suggestions for handling difficult situations, she gave precise information on how to set groups up to prevent difficult situations!  What I learned from Mary goes well beyond public speaking, toastmasters, or debate.  She taught me how to support the entire group and at the same time value each individual.  Time and time again, she offered specific tools for valuing everyone’s needs - including mine – even in the most difficult situations!  This course will support seasoned veterans looking to knock the rough edges off their teaching style, as well as those new to facilitation who want to take their teaching to new levels of ease and flow.”

Linda Nelson, Long Beach, California

“Through this class and through Mary’s willingness to share her own experience as a facilitator, I learned more about how I can hold and nurture a group. So many details were covered; from creating safety and clarity in groups by setting up the chairs and presenting the materials with presence and awareness, to helping people connect to what experience they want to have in the class. Today I have more ease and ability to stay present and connect with myself when I or someone in the group is triggered. I am more able to be transparent about what is going on for me in the moment.  I got insights and clarity about situations that have baffled me, and I have a lot more ease in teaching because of this.

There is also something very reassuring about hearing Mary share how she has handled situations that are challenging for me, and that have been challenging for her. In this I find my need for companionship and understanding met in a way that is very moving to me. I guess it nurtures hope in my own ability to facilitate groups with ease.”
